Tree Swallow was printed from a watercolor painted on pastel paper. I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite bird but if I had to pick a family of birds it would be the swallows. Swallows are found on every continent and are equipped to eat while flying (kind of like humans eating in the car). There are 75 varieties of swallows one of which, the tree swallow, is depicted here. They are incredible aerial acrobats that I could watch for hours.
