West Pond was printed from a pastel painting done en plein air just outside of the village of Montague, MA. Fortunately, this pond is on my too and from work. Every day I pass by I look to see who's in the pond. I have seen Great Blue Herons, Green Herons, Hooded Mergansers, Kingfishers, Wood Ducks, and painted turtles. Plus, the colors change beautifully with every season. I have a little spot I love to paint from. It's peaceful, quiet, and entrancing in it's beauty.
