Lily Pads was printed from a watercolor of one of my favorite spots in the Pioneer Valley where lotuses bloom. It's a little lotus pond en route to my favorite plant nursery. I love this painting as it gives the sense of what is growing below, on the surface of, and above the water. The essence of the lotus.
