Meadow Road is a pastel painting of my friend Chip's wood truck in one of his families many barns. He is the care taker of hundreds of acres of bucolic land originally purchased by his father. Some of the land is farmed, some is leased to other farmers, and the majority of the hundreds of acres are left untouched except by nature. I painted another version of this and gave it to Chip expressing my gratitude for protecting the habitat of so many animals and birds. His family's committment to the preservation of land in Montague is a large reason why it is so beautiful here.
