A short jog or a brisk bike ride from the house we rent on Narrow’s Island is a road called Shell Beach. Being an avid beachcomber, the street sign never fails to beckon me down the winding road every time I see it.  It is ridiculously beautiful and among the vistas I stop to rest my eyes on is this blue cottage with three kayaks right out front. Surrounding the house are large terracotta pots of blooming geraniums. I had no choice but to sit down and paint it. It really kind of painted itself.
