Chickadee is an art card of a pastel painting featuring a chickadee. Chickadees frequent our bird feeders and, to me, always look so dapper in their feathered attire. There are many reasons I love gardening but hearing the birds singing while plunging my hands into the soil is at the top of the list. One day early this spring I was out in my large perrenial garden and something landed on my head. I was wearing a wool hat and I could tell it was very small. I thought "Who is that?" It flew off and landed on a branch about 10 feet away from me. It was a chickadee looking quite please with himself. I was deeply touched like when a baby smiles at you. Extraordinary.
