The first time I took a boat tour around the Thimble Islands I fell in love with the archipelago and became obsessed with this house. There are many beautiful houses, both on shore and at sea, but this one has it all for me; one flight of stairs from boat to house to off-load sundries, a wrap-around porch, height for better visibility, no lawn to mow, and not a lot of house to clean. And then there's the view!

I sell my cards to a book store in Guilford. When I showed the owner this painting she said "The owners are friends of mine." I asked if they spend their summers there and she said they hardly make it to the house at all. I exclaimed a sound that should have been my 'inside voice' and offered that I, in fact, could spend the summers there if that would make them feel better. I'm still waiting for the call.
