Lost and Found is a series of pastel paintings from September and October of 2022. This is the first painting of the series of six. I began the series small with #1 measuring 3" x 4". I had many simultaneous goals for this series including improving my watercolor underpaintings as well as getting out of my usual size parameters. I wanted to start painting large again.
I took a picture of a stream in the side yard of a neighbor during a sunset walk in the spring. It was a 'golden moment' as Albert Handell would say.
