Cape is a soft pastel painting started on location in Wellfleet Audubon years ago. I've often looked at it in my inventory of paintings. I've thought to myself, "what a great start" and that's where I left it until just recently. I took it out of it's glassine protection and considered what I needed to do to take it to completion. Then I made a list of those 5 things and attached the list to my easel beside the "good start" painting. Not to mention, Wellfleet Audubon is one of my very favorite places and I know it well.

These are important moments for me to affirm that there are fruits to my labor of showing up at the easel consistently and studying with great teachers. I am very pleased with this painting now though I'm not sure how long I will have it for sale. I may end up keeping it for my own private collection. Grab it while it's hot!
