Change of Color is a soft pastel painting I actually did in my car! It was a lovely, drizzly early spring day and I was in one of my favorite locations for plein air. There is a swamp just off of Rt. 63 heading into Amherst that for years caught my eye on my morning commute. I have painted this area in the autumn but this was my first venture painting it in spring . The colors are subtle and delightful. The textures varied and yet, because of the drizzle, everything looked soft.

The painting measures 6 x 8 and is sold is a lightly colored wood frame with a white mat. I love this painting. It is very peaceful. Just like it felt to paint it.
