This pastel painting invites the viewer to take a walk on a grassy path through wildflowers and lavender. I could have titled this 'A Perfect Summer Day' because it was. The temperature was in the mid 70's, no humidity, air sweet with the fragrance of grasses and flowers, and no need to worry about anything in the moment. The purple mountains in the distant horizon encourage a longer walk. This day is too good to fill up with anything other than meandering.
