Crest was painted in soflt pastel on location at Camphill Ghent in Chatham, NY. Summer is in full bloom.

I greeted the sunrise and waited for the moment I wanted to capture in pastel.  The grass was wet with dew, the song birds were singing in a new day, and the wildflowers all around me filled the air with sweet summer fragrance.  I love the view of walking through this kind of natural beauty into the light of day. It feels like hope and the potential for good things on the horizon. That is what I meditated on when I was painting plus the sheer joy of painting in such a beaucolic setting.
