The seals in my mixed media line were inspired by the mother of a dear friend. Betty was a wonderful woman and a gifted painter. At their summer house in Maine, you'd find her doing watercolor washes of the gardens or sea or transforming rocks into seals with acrylic. I can still picture a piece of driftwood that sat on their stone fireplace. In all the nooks and crannies were rocks painted as sleeping, smiling, or generally contented seals. When she passed peacefully in her later years, I vowed to paint seals in her memory and just like Betty's, they bring smiles to those who see them. Each piece is unique and is accompanied by a Seals card. Expect variations. The frame is jet black with a silver piping and measures 3 3/4" x 4 3/4".
