Winterscape is a pastel painting depicting the kind of winter day I just want to spend outside walking or cross-country skiiing, watching the clouds go by, and admiring the shades of blue and purple in the shadows of tress and hillsides. I grew up with access to a hillside right outside our side door where, as kids, my siblings and I spent endless hours sledding in the winter months. With brief breaks to warm up our hands and feet, sip hot chocolate, and design our next greatest feat on sleds, we chased the hours away.
