Well-Worn is a pastel painting of a farm road in my neighborhood. There are many farm roads near here and they are all dirt and the width of tractor tires. Often, they have beautiful views like this one.

Paths are a nice element in a painting to rest the eyes on. I prefer dirt paths to asphalt ones. There's something organic about the way a dirt path, whether tractor or foot-worn, meanders with unexpected twists and turns. Much like life.
