Muse is printed from an original pastel painting of a barn I have painted so much I had to title it Muse. It's easy to get obsessed with subject matter as an artist. Think of Monet's waterlillies, or Van Gogh's hay fields, or Wyeth's lace curtains and you'll see what I mean. The more I study a subject the more I love and understand it. If it caught my eye in the first place it meant there were things to explore about it. I love all the elements in this painting; the barn, the garage, the potting shed, and the tree. They're all so lovely.
