Holiday Pop Up and Open Studio
Chris and I are still on for hosting this Saturday's Holiday Pop-Up and Open Studio from 10-3 despite the prediction of rain. All exhibits are indoors including raffle items and refreshments. There will be four groupings of raffle items all valued between $95 and $125. Tickets cost $1each or six for $5. All proceeds from the raffle will go to Warm the Children non-profit. It's a win/win/win!
The neat thing is that Chris's display, the raffle, and refreshments will all be in the big barn that once housed up to 90 dairy cows. It's an amazing piece of architecture. The barrel stove, built by hand by the farmers who once lived here, will be going and mulled cider simmering. Cookies and home-baked breads will be in abundance.
I will be in the Milk Barn Studio, where fresh milk was once stored, and I will also have my wood stove going. For Saturday only, I will be offering many items, including original pastel paintings, holiday cards, and prints, at discounted prices.
Things worth noting; please wear a mask indoors, perhaps bring your own shopping bags (we'll have some too), and don't take it personally that I won't get up to greet you. I sprained my ankle badly two nights ago when I slipped on one of the large stones just outside the studio. I will be very excited and grateful to see you despite my movement limitations.
Last, but certainly not least, thing worth mentioning is that we will have helpers for the event who are friends who feel like family and will no doubt add to the cheer of the day. Thank you Val, Carol, Glen, and Greg.
See you tomorrow!
